Alfonso Annibale de Marco
Alfonso Annibale de Marco focuses his practice on mergers & acquisitions, banking
& finance, privatisation, capital markets, real estate, corporate and commercial,
energy, oil and gas. He regularly advices in implementing privatisation or public tenders
and dismissal procedures and advises institutional operators on privatisation and/or
dismissal of public properties and assets. He is well versed in representing private
equity funds, corporations as well as state-owned entities in the acquisition, development
and disposition of commercial and residential properties, offices and industrial premises
across the country. During his practice he has been working for leading banking and
financial institutions where he played an important role in major financial transactions.
Legal advisor to leading Italian and international banks and financial institutions in major
structured financial transactions, including (recourse and non recourse) syndicated loans,
real estate secured financing, subordinated and mezzanine loans, real and personal guarantees,
issues of convertible bonds, assignment of receivables and equity swaps.
Alfonso has been ranked in and recommended by several international legal directories such
as LEGAL 500 (Banking & Finance – M&A – Real Estate), PLC (Real Estate) and IFLR 1000
(Banking & Finance – Real Estate). Also, he is the author of several publications focusing
on corporate and commercial law. He is currently assistant lecturer of private law at the
University of Rome "La Sapienza".
Alfonso commenced his career in 1996. After having worked in a leading Italian Bank
and achieved a Master in International Trade Law at University of Rome "LUISS",
in 1998 he became a partner of Studio Legale Tonucci.
