Carlo Gallavotti

Carlo Gallavotti’s practice focuses mainly on corporate matters, contract law, civil and commercial litigation, IP and media, consumer and data protection law.

He joined the firm in 1998, when he graduated with honors from the Law School of the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. Carlo Gallavotti also matured his professional skills at the London-based law firm Davenport Lyons during 2001, and at the Italian offices of the US law firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, where he practiced from 2005 to 2008, when he was back to the firm. He gained significant experience in multinational M&A operations, from due diligence and reporting activities to getting to the closing, from structuring the deal to drafting the relevant agreements.

He received a JSD degree in Private and Constitutional Law from the University of Padua in 2004. In 2005, he was visiting fellow at Yale Law School. Since graduation, Mr. Gallavotti has also pursued other academic interests at the Universities of Rome “La Sapienza” and “Roma Tre”, working as a teaching assistant, respectively, of Private Law and Comparative Law.

Mr. Gallavotti is a member of the Bar in Rome since 2001.

He speaks fluent English.
